 Ganesh Mantra:

Om Gan Ganapataye Namo Namaha,
Shree Siddhi Vinayak Namo Namaha

I Ashta Vinayak Namo Namaha
Ganapati Bappa Moraya ||

This mantra was first mentioned in Ganapati Atharvarshisha. Ganapati Atharvarshisha is said to have been written by Atharva Rishi after he had the darshan of Ganapti.

This mantra is said to have the power to remove all evil and obstacles and also to use it before beginning of any tasks to be succeed without much troubles. 

Om Gan Ganapatye Namah means the devotee bows/ offers salutations to the Lord of the World.
